SEEE:smart office and power monitoring

After a SmartBiz pilot in 5 spaces of its Dakar headquarters, Groupe SEEE is extending energy monitoring to all its offices: 20 units tracked, around 50 sensors, one dashboard.

The challenge

Groupe SEEE, an engineering and facility management company with over 40 years in Senegal, wanted to see what a connected building delivers in practice: where the electricity goes, which air conditioners consume the most, whether office air stays healthy, and getting a warning before an incident turns into damage. Its Point E headquarters, with offices on two floors and scattered electrical circuits, would also serve as a demonstrator for SEEE's own clients.

Phase 1: a pilot in 5 spaces

In June 2026 we installed 22 sensors and connected devices across the meeting room, one office, the server room, the reception and the canteen: power metering on 4 air conditioners and the three-phase main meter, 2 indoor air quality monitors (CO₂, PM2.5, temperature, humidity), temperature and humidity sensors, smoke and water leak detectors, a door sensor, smart switches and plugs, air conditioner remotes and UPS monitoring. Everything runs on the SmartBiz dashboard hosted on a local mini-server, with secure remote access over VPN and alerts by mobile notification and email.

Phase 2: every air conditioner in the building

Convinced by the pilot, SEEE decided to extend monitoring to all of its offices. Because the circuits do not meet on a single panel, each air conditioner gets its own sensor, fitted at the board or as close as possible to the unit.

The end result: 20 air conditioners monitored in real time, 15 temperature and humidity sensors, 2 air quality monitors and around 50 connected devices in 18 spaces, all in one dashboard showing each unit's share of the building's consumption. The SEEE team is trained to run the platform and build automations, and kaikai provides support.
