What we did

As the client’s adviser (AMO) for the Rufisque e-health Challenge, part of the AFD-funded ECONNECT programme ("Digital Territories in Transition") run by Cap Digital, kaikai carried out the organisational and technical diagnosis of the pilot health centre, the Rufisque Guedj polyclinic: business processes, information flows and existing digital tools.

We then ran a prioritisation workshop for stakeholders to choose the Challenge’s priority use case, wrote up the matching organisational procedure, and drafted a complete, neutral technical specification (CCTP) ready to put out to tender. The mission closed with a debriefing and recommendations.

Methods: BPMN process mapping, an IHE / HL7 / FHIR interoperability grid, OECD/DAC criteria to assess the bids, a value/effort matrix, user stories, KoboToolbox and Miro.

Results

A certificate of satisfactory completion from the Rufisque Departmental Council (30 June 2026): kaikai’s first attested reference on an AFD-funded programme and with a Senegalese local authority.
