The challenge

Demonstrating, with Senegal’s Ministry of Health and Social Action, that Senegalese hospital software can exchange medical data using IHE profiles.

What we did

kaikai set up and ran a working group bringing together the Ministry of Health, the Personal Data Protection Commission, the Ministry of the Digital Economy, software vendors and hospitals.

We coordinated IHE training for decision-makers and technicians, organised Senegal’s first mini-connectathon, and prepared Senegalese vendors to take part in the IHE Europe Connectathon.

Results

3 Senegalese e-health vendors took part in the IHE Europe Connectathon in Trieste (2024). Two certificates: from GIZ (15 July 2024), which plans to continue the collaboration, and from PatientPro (31 December 2024).
